Sound of a Heart (Poem)

A poem about a broken heart.

On a descending path, together with naked trees

there is a white stone cliff.

A circular dry fountain of polished stone sits in the heart of the rock,

By squeezing my entire body

I can open the fountain into a drain by clenching my fist,

revealing what's under it.

To show you my heart

Heaven, hell, and my love for you.

How does my heart function, you see?

How is love functioning?

Be kind to the big cramps I have to open with

Love me, keep me close and open again.

And if I've jumped into the cliff, there's no one

No one in the dark unknown

Just me and my love for you

Telling: may I break up my neck’s flower rope,

I don't know

I belong to you.

I could fold like a bag on ground

Such stupid way to tell you my truth

Quiet as prayer

And I prayed for your love

inside my head not in your heart

And tick tock it’s like a clock,

Sound of my heart inside your head,

inside your head not in your heart.
